PROGRAM OVERVIEW Economics is a study of scarcity, studying how people use resources and react to incentives or research decisions. It usually involves topics such as wealth and finance, but not all are related to money. Economics is a broad discipline that helps us understand historical trends, interpret today's headlines, and make predictions for the coming years. Economics includes many disciplines. Economics ranges from the very small to the very large. The study of individual decisions is called microeconomics. The study of the economy as a whole is called macroeconomics.
