What does it feel like to attend top Chinese University?

As we all know ,there are many famous universities in China. Different people have different opinions on top universities. What does it feel like to attend the top Chinese University？

Due to China's national examination system, top universities are definitely a highly competitive environment. The students who have progressed to top universities are all very good. They are almost all talents in this country. Despite the fierce competition, I still feel that this is a very friendly competition and everyone cooperates with each other. I am a math student, and Chinese students here often help us.

For me, the strongest feeling during my two years in top University：

Freedom. Both in terms of Academic and campus life, We don't have to get up on certain time to do morning exercise unified in my university. And the way we choose course are flexible. Apart from our major course, we can choose nearly every course of every major we are interested in, which provide us with the chance to learn something beyond our major and communicate with students with other majors. You can be a total geek or scholastic leader,or, you can do some strange things like playing games and winning the world champion (the first Chinese DOTA world champion are from my school). The counselors only appears when you seem to face some serious problems that can not solved by yourself. We can discuss everything here from our daily college life to the election of president in United States. It's awesome.

Innovation and entrepreneurship. There is a special class like Intensive Training Program of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which is focus on cultivating young entrepreneurs. It became the earliest entrepreneurship education in China. There is a lot of activities, since I was working and studying at the same time I didn’t enjoy a lot of them as other students do. But you can expect have a lot of things to do in there. No matter if you are a Chinese Student or a Foreigner.

Resources: There are a lot of good teachers. The University is full of resources and you can manage to meet a lot of people. It is a prestigious University in China, everyone will admire in some kind of level you because you manage to study in top university.

I studied in Chinese top university for six months as an international student from the US. Taking only language classes, my view of the normal curriculum might be a bit skewed, but I can say the school's environment is very good. People in the top university are very hardworking in their major. It makes me an international student impressed. I like Chinese university and hope to study again in China.

Top University is always beautiful with its buildings and plants. The city makes comfortable living by offering easy reach to all hangout places. The quality of teaching is almost the most, not only famous professors in China but also famous professors from abroad. Many majors are national key specialties and are strongly supported by the Chinese government.
